The Beach Hut team supervise the play equipment and help maximise your children’s enjoyment from the play experience they are not however a replacement for parental supervision. Parents/Guardians should note that whilst every consideration has been given for the safety of children using the play centre, The Beach Hut cannot be held responsible for accidents which occur as a result of children playing on the equipment.
Rules of play
- Children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18 years of age. The Beach Hut does not accept responsibility for the supervision of children.
- Parents/Guardians are responsible for the behaviour and well-being of the child in their care and must always maintain supervision.
- Please allow 1 family in the reception area at a time and check in at reception upon arrival.
- Play sessions are in operation and therefore you are required to leave at the end of your session time.
- On arrival you will be allocated a table. If you would like to order from the café, please limit the number of people from your group attending the counter to one at a time where possible.
- If family/friends have booked separately, we cannot guarantee being able to sit you near each other. Tables and chairs must not be moved by the Customers.
- Please read and follow all notices and guidance displayed round the play centre for everyone’s safety.
- Please use the hand wash facilities or hand sanitiser provided throughout your visit.
- Please remove shoes before entering the play area. Socks must always be worn. In case of a problem, contact reception or a member of staff.
- We recommend that children wear long sleeves and trousers. Clothes should be tucked in at all times. Please leave badges and jewellery with a responsible adult. Spectacles should only be worn if used with a retainer and shatter proof lenses. Clothes with ropes and cords should not be worn in the play area.
- Only children who are 11 years and under can use the junior play frame, under the age of 5 to enter the toddler area and Under 1’s (pre-walkers) in the baby area. Parental supervision is required on all frames.
- If Parents/Guardians enter the play areas to supervise and assist a child in their care, they should be mindful of the enjoyment and safety of other children.
- Customers who are unwell should not enter The Beach Hut, also if you fall unwell during your visit, please notify the staff and your group will be required to leave the centre immediately.
- Fighting or bullying will not be tolerated. Guilty parties may be asked to leave by the staff. Report any behavioural concerns to a member of staff. Do not attempt to intervene yourself.
- For Health and Safety reasons, only food purchased at The Beach Hut may be consumed on the premises.
- In the interest of Health and Safety, please ensure that any food debris which falls on the floor is picked/wiped up as soon as possible or report any spillages to a member of staff.
- Report all accidents to a member of staff, to ensure that we can provide any necessary assistance and minimise the potential of reoccurrence (please note PPE may be required). All accidents will be logged and are an important part of ongoing safety audits.
- All damages to The Beach Hut property either accidental or deliberate must be reported to a member of staff.
- Nappy changing and the use of potties etc. should be conducted in the baby changing room. Place nappies in the correct bins provided. Please refrain from putting wipes and nappies in the toilet.
- Please do not play in front of slide exits or climb on the netted walls of the play structure. Balls or other objects should not be thrown at each other.
- No sharp objects, food, drink or chewing gum should be taken into the play area.
- The Beach Hut centre is a smoke free area.
- The Beach Hut does not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions.
